We have just received the following link from the Blackfly organizers. It contains a link to the meet package and accommodations for those of you who were not fortunate enough get rooms at the area hotels. Hope this is useful.
Dear Bluefish Swimmers and Families,
Last year the ABSC executive introduced a “fundraising deposit” of $300.00 per swimmer and while it was overwhelming for some it was a needed program to keep this non-profit financially feasible. The executive recognized how hard it would be for some to raise that but at the same time recognized it is imperative the club raises funds. Multiple other fundraisers were organized in order to take some of the pressure off that amount.
The executive is happy to announce that the club managed to raise over $10 000.00 this year. These funds will assist the club with capital projects like replacing the aging starting blocks, training and coaching equipment and improving coach : swimmer ratios.
With this in mind the executive wants to recognize the hard work of swimmers and parents making this year a success and will not be cashing the Fundraising Deposit cheques of all ABSC swimmers. If you paid this fee up front in September please contact the Treasurer by email to arrange reimbursement. If you wish to have your deposit cheque physically returned also contact the Treasurer by email by May 15th. After May15th any cheques in the possession of the ABSC executive will be destroyed.
The Swim-a-thon draw will be held on deck at the end of the training session Wednesday May 7th. Winners will be contacted by email to arrange pick up/ordering of prizes.
Good luck to all draw entrants and again thanks to all swimmers and families for your support and hard work this season!
